After an extensive project to renovate their stunning Georgian home, our clients contracted us to provide a new front driveway and rear patio, terrace and pathways as the finishing touches to further enhance the timeless look and feel of the property.

The driveway needed to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing, so we opted for traditional block pavers with a contrasting coloured edging to add detail. We also wanted to create a feature pathway to the front door and decided to tie in with the existing Yorkstone doorstep and so suggested Marshall’s Scoutmoor paving.

The clients were keen to use the Scoutmoor as they’d seen it used elsewhere and felt it was perfect for the look that they wanted to achieve. In terms of budget, this product choice meant that the overall cost was pushed higher than if we’d used other alternatives but given the importance of respecting the period and traditional elements of the property, everyone involved felt passionately that it was the perfect product to achieve the desired effect.

Suffice to say that it was an excellent choice in terms of quality and the natural, subtle colour variations of the stone. We used the Scoutmoor slabs not only for the front path feature but also to create the patio, terrace and paths for the rear garden, which pulled everything together beatufully to create a space that is functional, beautiful and perfectly in keeping with the history of their home.
