The devil is in the detail! When working in the front garden of a period property, the small details make all the difference. This is where the choice of brick is paramount. It would be a crime to construct a wall using a brick that doesn’t match a 150-year-old building! We have great relationships with reclaimed merchants and if budget is an issue, replica stock bricks are a good alternative. For finishing the brickwork, we use a specialist pier cap and coping company who construct bespoke pieces, which add beautiful finishing detail to the brickwork.

Contemporary rendered walls have become incredibly popular with landscape designers and ultimately clients over the past 10 years. Whether used as a raised planter, a dividing wall or for a contemporary fence or screen to be installed in front of, a rendered wall can add an elegant, clean, modern look to any garden. The wall would normally be constructed using solid concrete blocks and then would be rendered either with traditional cement or newer products such as the silicone-based K-rend.

We have a close working relationship with a local ironmongery company, who can create virtually any type of railing or gate. You can then choose lots of the finishing details yourself, including bar size and finial detailing as well as making the railings and gates fit your project.
If budget is a concern, we also have various online suppliers who can provide off the shelf products at a cheaper price.
